Shatter earned its name honestly: chilled, it snaps like amber glass. That glassy stability is the format's whole appeal — it's easy to portion, easy to handle with cold fingers or a blade, travels well, and keeps for a long time when stored right. For years it was the default concentrate in Canada, and it remains the best value path into dabbing.

Shatter is made by extracting cured flower with hydrocarbons in a closed-loop system, then purging the solvent slowly at low heat under vacuum — a patient process that leaves a clear, stable sheet instead of a crystallized or whipped one. Typical potency runs 70–90% THC, roughly three to four times dried flower. Every batch here is extracted in-house and strain-labelled, part of the same lab behind our concentrates wall. Why Shatter Turns to Sugar (and Why That's Fine)

Open a jar months later and find your glassy slab has gone grainy and opaque? That's nucleation — THCa molecules separating from the terpene solution and crystallizing, the same physics that makes honey crystallize. Heat, humidity, agitation, and simply time can trigger it, and some strains sugar faster than others because of their terpene and lipid chemistry. Here's the part that matters: sugared shatter is not degraded, weaker, or unsafe. The potency is essentially unchanged — only the texture and look have shifted.
