Strawberry Cough is one of the few genuinely sativa-forward strains worth pressing into hash. Most hash leans heavy and earthy by nature, so putting a Strawberry Fields x Haze cut through the press gives you something the rest of the wall does not: bright red-fruit sweetness sitting on top of a traditional hash body. The nose is unmistakable. Fresh strawberry comes first, sweeter and cleaner than you expect from hash, then the haze underneath brings earth and a peppery spice on the finish.

Myrcene, caryophyllene and pinene carry it. Warm a piece between your fingers and the strawberry lifts noticeably.

The texture is soft and pliable rather than brittle, so it crumbles into a bowl or rolls into a snake for a joint without fighting you. Effects run to the lighter end for hash, in keeping with the strain — happy, energetic and talkative rather than couch-bound, which makes it one of the few we would call a daytime press.
